Can Neurographic Art Cause Harm?

I received a communique from the Institute of Creativity in St. Petersburg, penned by Pavel Piskarev, the creator of Neurographica. Here are a few main points from his message:

 • Neurographica is not “just simple drawing.” It is a method based on neurobiology, philosophy, and psychology principles.

 • Neurographica should be practiced only under the guidance of a licensed Instructor. 

 • Neurographica is a method that works deeply with the conscious and unconscious. If you start teaching without proper training, you can easily cause harm to others without realizing it.

 • If misused, Neurographica can trigger negative emotions and memories and strengthen existing problems.

I get daily messages from people telling me they started practicing Neurographica after watching a few YouTube videos. I always encourage everyone to continue learning and to begin practicing after taking a class with a licensed practitioner.
